Newton System 800 - Damp Proofing, View All ProductsNewton System 800

Newton System 800 is a range of BBA approved damp proof membranes and ancillaries which are quick and clean to install and offer a permanent solution for damp proofing walls.

Newton 805 Newlath and Newton 803 Newtonite meshed membranes provide a firm key and impermeable barrier on any damp or deteriorating surface ready for plaster, render or dot & dab plasterboard.

The un-meshed Newton 803 is used where insulation requirements dictate the use of a timber or steel frame ready for plasterboard. Quick, clean and proven to work, Newton damp proof membranes offer a permanent and cost effective damp proofing solution.

Damp Proof Membranes

Newton 803 Newtonite (M16, M21, M22)

3mm Meshed Damp-Proofing Membrane

Newtonite provides a firm key and impermeable barrier on any damp or deteriorating surface where direct bonding is not possible. Even poor and random substrates can easily receive Newtonite. Newtonite presents a physical barrier between the old surface and the new internal finish. Unlike many systems it can be punctured when new wall fixings are required.

Newton 803 (M5)

 Non-Meshed Damp-Proofing Membrane

Newton 803 is a non-meshed high quality damp proofing membrane for use above the ground. It can be used as an alternative to Newton 803 Newtonite and 805 Newlath where a meshed surface is not required as a surface for direct plastering or rendering.

Newton 805 Newlath (M9 & M10)

5mm Meshed Damp-Proofing Membrane

Newton 805 Newlath (formerly Newlath 2000) is a composite damp-proofing membrane comprising of high density polypropylene membrane with a rot-proof polythene mesh heat welded during the manufacturing process to the surface of one side. The meshed surface creates a mechanical key to allow the membrane to be plastered, rendered or to receive dot & dab plasterboard.

Newton 801 FlexProof-X1 Wet Room Waterproofing (FP1)

Wet Room Waterproofing with Newton FlexProof-X1Highly Advanced Single Component Liquid Waterproofing Material

Newton 801 FlexProof-X1 (FP1) forms an elastomeric polymer membrane that is splash proof in minutes and capable of handling severe building movements and deformations. Newton 801 FlexProof-X1 is quite unique with amazing characteristics allowing it to be used without a primer, without mixing and in weather conditions that preclude the use of alternatives. When applied by trowel to wet-room walls 801 FlexProof-X1 provides a continuous highly flexible membrane ready for the tiled finish.

Damp Proofing Ancillary Products

Newton 800 Mesh Plugs (A16)

Above ground the Newton 800 Mesh Plug can be used internally and externally to secure Newton meshed membranes: 805 Newlath and 803 Newtonite. Use a 7mm SDS drill bit to drill through membrane and substrate prior to hammering home fixing plug.

Newton 800 Newtonite Plugs (A20)

Above ground the Newtonite Plugs can be used internally to secure Newton meshed membranes 805 Newlath and 803 Newtonite. Newtonite Plugs come in bags of 160 which make them ideal for fixing rolls under 20 m2 like the smaller rolls of 803 Newtonite.

Newton Cob Plugs (A17)

Above ground, the Newton Cob fixing is used with 805 Newlath and Newton 500 Cavity Drain Membranes. The Newton Cob plug has an expanding stem which provides effective anchorage in a wide range of base materials.

Newton Mastic (A18)

Newton Mastic is used with 805 Newlath and 803 Newtonite. It is applied to the plug before fixing into the membrane, which serves to stop any ‘bridge’ happening between the damp or stained surface and the new surface.

Newton Profile Vent Strip (A19)

Newton Profile can be used with 803 Newtonite and 805 Newlath. It serves as a plaster stop, guaranteeing that the plaster/render will stop short of the floor.
