Newton Diathonite is a premixed plaster, fibre-reinforced with cork (granular 0-3 mm), clay powders and NHL 3.5 natural hydraulic lime. The resulting natural compound produces a plaster with unrivalled thermal and acoustic properties that is both hard wearing and flexible which is ideal for both internal and external applications.

Diathonite, when applied either internally or externally, creates a seamless thermal barrier which eliminates any risk of cold bridging within the structure.

What is the plaster made out of?

Natural clays, granules of cork (0-3mm), Natural Hydraulic Lime and bonding fibres. The product is totally Eco Friendly and made from natural occurring compounds.

• As a sound insulating plaster for both external and internal walls
• As an insulated render finish for timber frame or SIPPS structures
• As a render/plaster for listed buildings due to its ‘green’ credentials
• Thicker application can be applied to specifically prevent thermal bridges
• Can be applied directly to Newton System 800 Damp Proofing and Newton System 500 Cavity Drain meshed waterproofing membranes

Diathonite Insulation Plaster Used to upgrade existing London property to current Building Regulations requirements

This single skin Victorian Terrace had been protected from driving and penetrating moisture with Newtonite damp proof membrane for 50 years. The existing tenant wanted to upgrade the property in line with the current Building Regulation by incorporating insulation.
