Polyurethane Thinning and Cleaning Agent:
Newton 204 Thinner is a slow acting blended solvent for use with Newton 201 RubberFlex and Newton 205 ColorSeal. The product consists of a mixture of solvents, 100% compatible with Newton single component polyurethanes. Newton 204 Thinner is used to dilute the polyurethane membrane and is especially useful when Newton 201 RubberFlex is applied by airless spray.
Newton 204 Thinner is also used as a cleaning medium for tools and equipment used during the application of the membrane and it can be also used as a barrier against humidity when having to store product already opened.
Newton 204 Thinner is a hydrophobic, free of hydrogen atoms and so regresses the normal reaction and curing times which assists in producing high quality finishes to the membranes
The nature of this product makes it less harmful than other solvents based on Ethyl Acetate, or similar.
Typical Applications
• Cleaning of tools and equipment
• Increasing viscosity of membranes for application by airless spraying
• Sealing of product against moisture in opened containers
