Introducing The Titan-2 Pumping System – Unique Octagonal Sump Shape
The Newton Titan-2 has a large foot to the base of the chamber to prevent floatation
The Titan-2 is a basic pumping system incorporating:
- an octagonal sump chamber
- class leading pumps
- lock & seal lid and frame
- high water level alarm
- internal pipe-work, one way valves and
- quick release shut-off valve for quick release of the pumps for servicing.
The sump can be used with single pumps or twin pumps via a single discharge line. The unique octagonal sump shape ensures structural stability and provides eight large surfaces for inlets into the pump of up to 110mm via an optional wall flange. The sump chamber also features a flared base to prevent flotation. As a fully built system, the Titan-2 includes all internal pipe and pipe fittings ready for 50mm discharge pipe.
Extended Footing Means Easier Installation
A key advantage of this style of chamber over the original Titan is that it has an extended footing around the bottom circumference meaning you no longer need to fit coach bolts to secure it against vertical movement due to potential water pressure. It also has flat sides making it easier to fit pipework through the chamber wall. Its design is intended to work in conjunction with the recessed manhole style lid and can accept various finishes into the recessed tray of the lid such as tiles, screed, wooden floor etc.
Less Digging Required
The volume of this chamber is equivalent to the original Titan but it is shorter so there is less digging involved to install the chamber into the ground. Please see the dimensions drawing on the datasheet.

Newton Control Panel Pro
The Newton Control Panel – Pro 2 is a class-leading pump control panel with many unique features which has been designed by John Newton to provide the ultimate in pump operation and diagnostic. The panel features interfaces for use with John Newton power back-up and telemetry systems as well as connections to whole house alarm and monitoring systems. The Control panel PCB is split with two separate circuits, ensuring that pumping will continue even if one of the control circuits should fail. This effectively means that Newton Control Panel Pro 2 is two control panels in one case, offering unrivalled redundancy.
Self diagnostic programs test the pumps on a weekly basis to ensure correct pump performance with the appointed service engineer automatically informed of any detected problem with either of the pumps if the Newton Dialer telemetry system is installed.
The Newton Control Panel Pro 2 will operate a maximum of two 750W 230V AC pumps. The panel is supplied with a vertical water level float switch and water high alarm float switch. New Advances in Basement Sump Pump Technology
The Basement Sump Pump debate is one which specifiers, professional installers and the end clients inevitably discuss when seeking to offer full protection to domestic and commercial basements. The use of a basement sump pump has been viewed by many as not necessary in existing basements as their may not have been any evidence of water ingress entering the structure before.
